Today’s painting features Jax, a lab/husky mix. Jennifer had the good fortune of adopting this very handsome boy at ~6-months of age from a fantastic organization-- “Paws United” (Jax’s owner had only good things to say about Paws United!!). I took the liberty of checking out Paw's United Website today; here is a little bit more information about this great group:
"We are a local (London and Strathroy Ontario) non-profit group of animal lovers that rescues, rehabilitates and adopts dogs into loving homes. Our main focus is dogs in pounds and high-kill shelters, as well as partnering with organizations and other rescues when needed. We are the “middle-man” in sheltering, training and in some cases nursing these dogs back to health in order to find them suitable and loving homes. Paws-United is entirely volunteer run and has many wonderful foster homes that are willing to care for these dogs until adoption."
Thanks so much Jennifer for sharing Jax’s photo & story!
I believe art is meant to be shared. I am a Canadian landscape painter that works primary in oils & acrylics. I create works both en plein air & in the studio.
