New Beginnings

Over the past few months, I have completed a few commissioned paintings as retirement gifts.  I thought I would take this time to share them with you!

The painting above (New Beginnings), was a gift for a kind and lovely Social Worker -  Mary Rodenhurst, given on behalf of her colleagues at London Health Sciences Centre. I know Mary through my dietitian work at the hospital.  I have also included a photo of Mary from her surprise retirement party (PS - I think her family set the bar in terms of awesome retirement parties!).  It was so touching to see how many lives Mary had touched through her long career as a social worker.  

The bottom two paintings were commissioned for two retiring pharmacists - paintings of the pharmacies in which they worked in Tavistock and Stratford, Ontario.  While I might be slightly bias... I think a painting is the perfect gift to celebrate the next exciting chapter of life after retirement.
