Day 1 (30-in-30 Sept 2014)

It's day 1 of my first ever daily painting challenge!!! The challenge is hosted by artist Leslie Saeta and over 800 artists all over the world are participating.  Amazing and a little intimidating. 

My theme for the month will be landscapes (mostly).  To expand on this, my other goal this month is to practice and try new painting techniques (e.g. negative painting, try new technique from Artists NetworkTV). 

My first painting is inspired from a photo taken when my sister Amy and I were visiting Point Reyes National Seashore (outside San Francisco).  It was early in the morning and the water was sparkling.
