Day 1 of 30 - A Little of This, A Little of That

Welcome to my latest 30-day painting challenge! 

You are in for a month of surprises!  With my theme being "a little of this, a little of that", I will be sharing works produced with various mediums (e.g. oils, acrylic, charcoal) & depicting various subjects. 

Todays painting was inspired by a photo I took on vacation in Colorado last June (at the Stephen Quiller workshop).   Each morning at about 6am, we ventured into the mountains with our hiking guide to take in some of the wonderful scenery!   I found the temperature in the mountains interesting - cool in the night and early morning (while you can't see it here - we wore mittens), then quite hot in the day time.
