Day 5 (30-in-30)
Soo... I am now one sixth of the way through the challenge. With 25 paintings to go, I found myself thinking "what was I thinking" (PS - I also have a day job!). I guess it's called a challenge for a reason. Complaining aside, painting daily has been quite refreshing once I actually get myself to the easel. And so, I will continue...
Todays painting is based on yet another scene from northern Ontario near my parents cabin (on a lake known as Moose Lake). I used a limited palette of titanium white, ultramarine violet, dioxazine purple, and permanent green light (Golden Acrylics). While not quite compliment colours, I love the neutrals created by the purples and permanent green light. Very calming.

Thanks so much Robert. Yes the border is pretty stringent these days! New York is also a beautiful state.
