I'm happy to share I was initiated into the "plein air club" this weekend after a couple of mishaps while out a Fanshawe Pioneer Village:
1. A windy gust sent my umbrella and easel and all my supplies toppling to the ground! While I assumed this would happen at some point... I did not anticipate #2. 2. No sooner than I heard a rustle in the the long grass next to me, than a sprinting fox appeared. Seriously... a fox! I'd estimate she was 3-4 meters away. The staff at Pioneer Village shared that there is a momma fox with a litter of pups in that area. To bad I didn't have my beagle Wylan with me... it'd have been the fox and the hound! Here are some work in progress shots, and my final painting from Sunday. Click here for the story behind the house featured in this painting - Dr. Jone's house.
