Week 12

The long weekend is here - yippy!!  have been enjoying painting time and getting ready for the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge - starts Sept 1 (hosted by Leslie Saeta). This weeks painting is my contribution to the WDE at WetCanvas.  Thanks to my fellow Ontarian Jean for hosting and providing lovely photos in which to paint.  I couldn't resist painting the beautiful light/shadows of these merry cherries.  I have also included a few work in progress photos.

In light of the upcoming 30-in-30, today I decided to gift myself a new  paint box (an upgrade from my old box  which involved fishing through a sea of tubes to find the right colour).  I picked up a fancy tackle box from Canadian Tire and fashioned this paint box.  Check out the photos below!
