Week 26 & 27

Happy holiday friends!!  While I missed a couple weeks of posting here, it was not for lack of work.  In addition to some Xmas fun, I have been busy painting some holiday commissions and getting ready for my Jan 2015, 30-in-30 Rescue Pet Painting Challenge (starting Jan 1, 2015)

The following painting was a commission I did for a friend to give as holiday gift.  This sweet gal is Spirit and her dog-mom Jen shared the following anecdote with me:

"Spirit is a 9.5 year old Golden Retriever. She was released from a service dog program when she was 18 months old. She didn't make the cut! I adopted her when I was in university. She loves swimming, long walks and treats. She also enjoys agility and is a member of a local agility club. She is incredibly smart and very sweet."


Spirit sure sounds like a special girl!!  Thanks for sharing Jen.
